Treviño, City Mayor, presented an official proclamation recognizing May 8–12, 2023, as “National Economic Development Week in Laredo, Texas.” This designation was made in partnership with the Laredo Economic Development Corporation, MileOne International Business Assistance Center, and the City of Laredo Economic Development Department.

To close the ED Week, on Friday, May 12th, the Laredo EDC "Shop Local Initiative" in collaboration with the City of Laredo and the Laredo Chamber of Commerce at the Outlet Shoppes to promote and recognize downtown businesses.
